Just a quick note to say that the class of 2001 is having their 15-year reunion this May 20-22 in Natchitoches, LA.
I wanted to update everyone about our Class of 2001 15-year reunion plans for this May – looking forward to seeing many of you in Natchitoches the weekend of May 20-22 to reconnect with old friends!
- Dates: May 20-22.
- Cost range: $40-60 per person to cover Saturday’s food and booze costs (see below for details)
We’re going to do things a little different from our ten-year reunion, since I heard cost was a significant reason that some folks were reluctant to attend. Most of those costs were driven by pricey vendors (space rental, DJ, bartender, etc got costs up into the thousands of dollars).
So, to keep things affordable, I’m planning to keep it simple and in the “LSMSA family” this year. There will be two big Class of 2001 events — one on Friday evening and one on Saturday evening.
- Friday: Pioneer Pub Meetup
- Time: ~6pm-10pm
Once you get to town, head to the Pioneer Pub on Front Street to meet up with old friends. The beer is cold, and the food is decent, but it’ll be quite crowded so consider eating something beforehand.
- Saturday: House Party at Dr. Hynes’ house!
- Time: ~6pm-12am
Dr. Hynes has generously offered to host our class reunion at his house. His place is a 5-minute drive from the hotels on the I-49 corridor (Comfort Inn, Hampton Inn, Best Western, etc.). If anyone is available to volunteer for driving people to and from (e.g. a sober shuttle), please let me know.
- Volunteering: I’ll need some help for the Saturday house party: setup, cleanup, and shuttle drivers. Please let me know if you can lend a hand.
- Registration: If you are on Facebook, please register for the event here
(if you can’t view that link, register for our class here)
If you have problems (or are not on Facebook), just shoot me a quick email at:
I’m looking forward to seeing you in Natchitoches for our 15-year reunion!
