Below is a message forwarded from Dr. Sharon Williams and Matthew Philbrook (’98). Matthew now works for Duke University TIP and wanted alumni and LSMSA staff to know about some summer work opportunities through the TIP program.
His message is as follows:
Good afternoon! As you may or may not remember, I was a 1998 graduate of Louisiana School. I did my undergrad at Centenary College in Shreveport and then received my M.A in Social Science from University of Chicago. I now work for Duke University TIP in their Educational Programs division, and I work with our summer programs in Texas and Kansas. We are still looking for Instructors, Teaching Assistants, and Residential Counselors for this summer. I have included a link below that lists all of the academic positions still available (as of today). For the Residential Counselor positions, we are still accepting applications for all of our campus locations. Can you please forward this email on to any interested staff at LSMSA?
Also, I will actually be in Natchitoches on Saturday (May 1st) for the Duke TIP State Recognition Ceremony. If there are any LSMSA staff members who are interested in working for TIP, I would be more than happy to meet with them while I’m in town. It would need to be early (before 10:30am) or after the ceremony (after 3:00pm). I would love to answer any questions and tell them a little more about the positions.
Thanks so much! I will stop by the HSB on Saturday morning to say hey, Dr. Sharon!
